Not Afraid
Each one of us is dealing with or suffering from some kind of fear. The fear of losing our loved ones, the fear of failing at something, the fear of not giving our best etc.
We develop fear because of our past experiences. The fear of exam, if we had failed in some exam earlier, the fear of relationships after having a failed relationship. The fear of trusting someone again once our trust has been broken.
Fear can be of two types. The first fear is the one which makes us vigilant and it is a good fear. The fear of failing at exam makes us sleepless whole night for studying. There is no harm in having such kind of fear. Such fear helps us in developing and growing.
The second kind of fear is one, which makes us weak. The fear which prevents us from taking risks and trying new things. This kind of fear prevents us from giving 100%. Some of us do not even attempt in fear of failure. Fear has a tendency of making a person pessimistic. A fearful person will think of 100 obstacles that will hinder his/her path of success instead of focussing on possibilities.
The most common fear which this millennial generation has is the fear of the future. What does one’s future hold for him/her? The fear of not getting the desired result even after putting our 100 %. Sometimes small failures create fear in our mind and block the mind.
Our will power and the determination to achieve our goal should be bigger than the fear. The happiness of conquering fear is the biggest happiness, one can ever experience. Our quest for success should be bigger than our fear of failures. Every failure can develop a fear or can provide us with a new way of trying again. How a person perceives failures completely depends upon the person’s mindset.
Nelson Mandela became the first black President of South Africa after spending 27 years in prison. His will power and never giving up attitude shows us that we all can overcome our fears. Bear Grylls, who is best known for his tv show named Man vs Wild, once met with an accident while landing when his parachute ripped off which caused the breaking of his three vertebrae. Many of the normal humans would have given up adventuring after this but Bear Grylls was an exception. He climbed Mount Everest after recovering.
So all the lovely people reading this, there is an endless road to discover. Never let your fear stop you from living your life. Fear kills more dreams than failures can. Shri Krishna said, “every time we experience fear we must remember that at the same time there is something fearless inside us too.”
